Hinckley Point C

Just watching this on BB2
Building Britain’s largest Nuclear Power Plant
It’s a tremendous project and it’s seems to be owned by France and China .
its costing over £20 billions.
Because the price of alternative power has come down it will ( when finished ) provide very expensive power

According to the Guardian it may even be obsolete .

Oh, I shouldn't take much notice of what the Grauniad says!

On the contrary, nuclear power is the only reliable source of electrical energy that isn't reliant on weather and which can produce a constant output.

Does it belong to China and France?
Who's paying for it?

If push came to shove, we could just nationalise it!

I'm afraid I don't know all the ins and outs, but whoever is in there running them wouldn't dare to turn off the power on the say so of Micronapoleon, because if they did our security forces - who are responsible for maintaining the safety of our nuclear power stations - would immediately be instructed to take over control, along with our own experts who know exactly what to do.

There's no way we'd allow our nuclear power stations to be run remotely from France, let alone China!

Re: Hinckley Point C

They are however paying for its construction
One third by EDF of France and two thirds by Chinese state-owned China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN)
We are going to have to pay them back.
