Washing Machine Suggestions

Out of the blue last evening the final spin was finishing.

The Machine made a huge bang and we both said.'oh' are similar meaning but unprintable..

Love this machine more than any others we have owned of the years..We have had quite a few. This one is a LG installed in the UK initially 15th September 2014 written on the brochure. Husband always does that...

We took the machine out of it's home for the past 6 and half years. Took the top off and took the back off.

I left the room at this point....

So this morning we are going to purchase a new one.

Any recommendations?

I have a 6.5kg Hoover top loader that has been going for donkeys years. They make crap vacuum cleaners but I can't complain about their washing machine

We had a Zanussi, just replaced it before it actually broke down, don't think the replacement will go the same distance, it has too many flashing lights for a start.

My Shark Vacuum Cleaner does a supper job Bruce. It tips over quiet easily. that is the only issue with it...Had several makes over the years including a Dyson, that are acceptable to me but no more than that.

Re: Washing Machine Suggestions

We have a Samsung….what a pile of carp, when it spins, it vibrates like hell, we thought when we had our new kitchen , it would be better, but no, we solved it by jamming foam down the sides against the cabinet, having worked on commercial LG washers, they aren’t much better, unless the domestic ones are different, if we were to buy a new washer then Bosch would be our choice, unless we could stretch to a Miele…

Re: Washing Machine Suggestions

The LG we have been pretty satisfied with..OK it sticks out the space that was there was made when the previous owners had the Kitchen installed. The width was too wide by a small amount as well..so we had to lay on the floor feet against the front of it and keep pushing..and praying..

Re: Washing Machine Suggestions

Thinking AEG this time as Husband has just stated the cost is irrelevant..that is a statement not heard before....He just wants a good one that fits this time.

Cheers all for suggestions so far..

Re: Washing Machine Suggestions

We have a front loading Hotpoint combined washing machine/tumble drier, very convenient if like us you’re cramped for space in your utility room. It has a 7 kg load capacity. Very pleased with it.

We have a very good Fisher & Paykel. They are from New Zealand but available in Europe. A top loader so perhaps not suitable for a kitchen.
