Nobody that matters until now has said brexit won't happen. May says that the present deal is the best way to leave, but she has every intention to leave. Some people say there are better ways, but actually the only alternative I've heard so far is leaving without a deal.
But on the whole, nobody is advocating remain. Especially not in the EU I may ad.

Re: Could It Happen Here Too?

Next Sunday 9th December might just see some riots. UKIP are having a 'Brexit ' event at Westminster. Farage is convinced trouble is brewing, but is also annoyed because if so, it will be remembered as the battle of the Brexiteers for years to come, which will not be a true representation of the majority.

Tommy Robinson speaking, an ex convict is organising it and is advising Gerard Batten, so Farage is of the opinion there's going to be trouble with BNP in the mix.

From what he was saying on LBC yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised if he disassociates himself with the party (UKIP) this week, saying it is no longer the party he founded and the people who are now infiltrating it, were banned from even becoming members originally.

I have a feeling you are too far removed from UK because it's clear here many politicians, bankers etc are saying remain.

According to you "remain" is a serious option in the outcome of this whole brexit circus going on since 2016?

Re: Could It Happen Here Too?

Just heard on BBC lunchtime news that for the first time since Franco, a far-right party has won 12 seats in Andalucia.
They state that Immigration was the main factor and the people are sick of being ruled by the Socialists. (and obviously the EU Immigration policies).

What’s the betting there’s more to come in other EU country elections.

If people rioted[although of course ,hope they don"t] it would not surprise me in the least . I think May has just treated us as idiots . I for one, am just heartily sick of her and her double dealing .

Spain has always had 'right wing' tendencies.

May is a clever politician. She can't be caught on telling a lie. Her deal delivers on the peoples vote (leave the EU). She was sent to negotiate a deal on behalf of the UK. There is a draft agreed by the respective negotiators. She says there is no room to negotiate a better deal. Confirmed by the EU.
So May has delivered on her promises. You may be disatisfied on the result, fair enough. Then vote it down in the house.

But I am rather certain that by now all mp's have been briefed about the consequences of a no-deal, so none of them dares to lead the UK to that destiny.

Hi

I simply do not get Riots or violence.

They are not an abstract thing, you, your families and friends can be caught up in them.

People die and have life changing Injuries.

To be avoided.

Whilst I agree and believe peaceful protest is always best with Tommy Robinson and BNP etc in the mix I can't predict it might not end in riots. They are professional agitators know exactly how to provoke.
