Re: Why Shouldn't We Just Walk Away?

Hi

Things are starting to change.

That is what we voted for.

Little things like Google, big things like Immigration..

There will be literally tens of thousands of things which will change, we are setting our own rules.

There are large teams of Civil Servants trolling through all the little bits and pieces of rules and regulations and giving lists to Government Ministers for them to decide on which bits we are going to lose change or keep.

We are only just starting the process.

Old times are returning, you mean?

Immigration rules post-Brexit could fuel modern slavery, say charities

Hi

Nope, that is just a scare story.

The way things are going, times will be hard for both the UK and the EU

The EU promised a Canada Deal, I was quite happy with that.

This has now been withdrawn, which is a nonsense.

I was a very reluctant but determined Leaver.

I was hoping for Commonsense.

The EU have reneged on promises.

So be it.

It is now a battle, not one of my choosing, entirely down to the EU.

My focus before was getting a mutually agreeable agreement.

This has now changed.

The Elgin Marbles?

Nonsense.

What is next?

Italy wants Hadrian's Wall back?

Sod that for a Game of Marbles.

I am a very relaxed and rational person.

A Trade Deal would have been very good for both the UK and EU.

The EU can now swan off.

I am not unique in this, many of my ex colleagues are absolutely disgusted by the EU reneging on the agreement.

We know exactly how to hurt the EU, and we will.

Wasn't it you, blaming theresa may for turning down a canada style arrangement?

The story about marbles is just that, a story.

Hi

Yes, quite right, she was an idiot for turning it down.

The fact of the matter is really very simple.

The EU said it was still on offer after she was replaced.

This has now, all of a sudden been withdrawn.

An EU decision, not a UK Decision.

The Elgin Marbles are not just a story, it is fact published by the EU.

I am not not a Rabid all is Golden Brexiteer.

I knew the problems

I am not Bread, Moscow or JBR.

When the EU piss off rational people like me they have to accept the consequences.

I was hoping for a simple, rational split, to the benefit of both the EU and the UK.

That is not now going to happen due to the stupidity of Macron and Co.

I am not unique in this.

Many Ex and Current Civil Servants feel exactly the same way.

You misunderstand the British way of thought.

We will not be threatened by anybody.

We react, not our choice, but that is what we do.

We are being threatened, a divided Country but our Civil Servants are going to react.

We already are.

We know exactly how to hurt the EU and we will, not with headlines, but with simple understated acts.

We are very busy at the moment, looking after our own.

We are also helping the Germans with their recent attack.

That means we are too busy to help France with their requests.

Thats what happens when you send in the EU Office Boy to negotiate with grown ups. You get this kind of silliness and it just wastes everybody's time.

We should only be negotiating with elected leaders.

Hi

Sorry Bread, but no, no and no.

Our elected Leaders set the rules.

That is how it should be.

They leave the details to the professionals.

Nobody Voted for me and my Ex Colleagues.

Our job, which I took very seriously, was to deliver on the detail.

Boris and Co do not understand, May was a nightmare.

Merkel and Macron run rings round our Politicians.

I took it as personal insult if a French or German Civil Servant beat me.

They have the backing, often simply lacking here.

It is hugely frustrating.
