What's Hiding

I'm always interested in what old geezers have hiding in their garage, I have one of these.

When I acquired it I weighed 97.5Kg and the bike weighs 215Kg. I now weigh (intentionally) 76Kg so now (as well as being older) its a handful to manoeuvre, so, I think it might be time for it to go.

It will part fund the purchase of one of these.

Weight 50 Kg, and less chance of a hernia.

Anyone alse hang onto stuff from the past?

Not any more Spitty, nope.
Or at least not if I can help it.

Not only because once you start saving the odd thing that might just come in useful one day, you suddenly find you've become a bit of a hoarder and there's stuff everywhere.
But because I've moved about quite a bit and it's a pain trying to pack stuff that you know you don't need any more and will just waste space in a new gaff too.
I've done the moving it out of one garage and into another enough times not to want to do it again.

That's a downside of this pandemic - no car boot sales to sell off the junk we don't use any more.
That bay place used to be okay but it has too many problems nowadays for occasional sellers like me - and it's darned expensive too IMHO..
So I do have a spare surround-sound amp/receiver and speakers and a few other little odds & ends just now, but I will move those on when things settle down a bit more.

Re: What's Hiding

I have one of these, owned from new when I promised myself a new one after having owned and rebuilt the first one, a second-hand 1973 Scimitar GTE:

Almost there, I really must find out how to post photographs properly at a reasonable size!
The car is a 1984 Scimitar GTE.

I know exactly what you mean zaphod, that little do dah that will come in handy one day, sits in the garage or shed never to be used, or if by some miracle you need it, you’ve forgotten just where in the garage/shed you’ve put the darned thing, I rarely save stuff nowadays, just lob it and buy new if you need to

Re: What's Hiding

The only thing hiding in our garage is is OH.
When he realised he could no longer work and he would have to give up his beloved motorbike he took the garage and converted it into his own private pub.
he and my daughter brew beer so I suppose you could say we've got about 1000 bottles of beer hiding behind the various doors.
