I'm shocked too! I adore pampas grass and would love it if I had a garden....but...yeah...did not know the connotations of that.

My pink pampas grass has germinated !
So now I have loads having sownall the micro seeds in three pots .
So Bathsheba if you want to learn more .......
Thing is it takes three years to grow large

Muddy I would stick to hydrangeas if you want large pink blooms, they are quite safe



I said much the same ealier Meg, and warned that in my gardening magazine recently it said Pampas is much in demand and thieves are cutting the heads off and flogging them for £25 each!
When you think just 4 blooms earns them £100, it must be a nice little earner!

I bet pink flower heads would fetch far more as they are rarer, and very pretty.

3 pots full?? Did you get a bit carried away, Muddy?

Perhaps you could pot them up, grow them on and sell some?
