Humanoid robots

https://metro.co.uk/2021/03/15/hyper...ssia-14246326/

Looks a little like the President, that figures.

Which begs the question, how long until Russia is full of walking, talking robots.
Will people know the difference is the scary part.

The future, less human contact it seems.

Hanson Robotics, based in Hong Kong, said four models, including Sophia, would start rolling out of factories in the first half of 2021, just as researchers predict the pandemic will open new opportunities for the robotics industry.

‘The world of Covid-19 is going to need more and more automation to keep people safe,’ founder and chief executive David Hanson said, standing surrounded by robot heads in his lab.

Hanson believes robotic solutions to the pandemic are not limited to healthcare, but could assist customers in industries such as retail and airlines too.

No. NO! Just No. I think the entire idea is beyond horrific. It begs the question why though? Why do we "need" these things. I have kept myself safe this entire time....I do not need a fake person to help me!! Gah!

Plus they don't need paid. And they won't complain about the hours. basically putting folks out of a job.

Guess I need to move out from Retail, into Programming.

I got to the first few seconds when she was doing the under eye, and it moved like skin does.

I clicked off right away - I just can't watch.
