I presume that a human being sits down at some keyboard somewhere and creates spell checkers and autocorrect, so why would they think that 'Nun' is more useful than 'Mum'?

I used to text my Mum all all the time but I have only ever spoken to a Nun once but that's all I'm saying.

'Mum' wouldn't be recognised by some spell checkers.
You'd need to use 'Mom', for some reason.
