Hi LD!, The Highlands are indeed beautiful - I want to walk the Great Glen Way in Autumn, the colours would be stunning!
Glencoe and Skye are both beautiful places, but Iona is my favourite place in Scotland - on a lovely sunny day, you could be in no better little world of wonder. There is also a secret beach on the Isle of Bute - well, its not so secret really - but hardly anyone goes there it as you can't get to it by road. You have to walk over hill and dale and suddenly there it is, tucked away, empty of people, but full of seals and wildlife. Oh and standing stones.
My love of islands and beaches is becoming evident, eh?!
