The quoted image in eccles post is of the original OP so in answer to the post it seems eccles likes his hot cross buns too! Me too but I had a surprise with those I bought!

I've just returned from Tesco and in my rather quick, rushed shop to get away from people I picked up two packs of Hot Cross Buns. On returning home I find they are Salted Caramel and Chocolate Chip! Not the regular sort I wanted but there it is – I might like them just for a change.

I eat mine dry, out of the packet. I know, its sacrilege, but I eat my croissants the same way too. Still tastes lovely!

They are a bun made with spices including cinnamon, with a glazed top and a cross marked on top. The "cross" symbolises the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. hey are usually eaten at Easter.
