Email - help needed please!
I am on W10 - using Googlemail.My email icon has vanished from the task bar at the bottom of my screen.
If I go to 'start' and scroll down the list of programmes to 'mail' I receive the message 'this app cannot open - go to Windows store'.
Windows store yields nothing useful.
Tried to run 'system restore' back a couple of days - says it cannot complete task.
Meanwhile I cannot access my email.
Before I throw this thing at the cat - any suggestions would be most welcome!

Tabby I think my best advice would be to not try to fix it yourself. Walk away. Your cat is much more important than the computer. Call an IT person who can come around and sort it for you. You should find plenty in the yellow pages for your area.
I managed to find a nice young guy near me who come around whenever I have a problem I can't fix myself. Software, hardware, he knows the lot. Saves a lot of stress.

Something for you to try. Although I use Outlook for emails, I've set up another one using the Windows Mail App.What you need to do is:
1 - Open Mail App by searching for it at the Start bar
2 - In the toolbar to the left, click on Accounts and a window will pop up on the right-hand side.
3 - Click on add new account
4 - Use the Google option
5 - Enter your email address - silvertabbs@gmail for example then enter your password for that email address
6 - Click on sign in
7 - All being well, you should be able to get your emails
8 - Look for the Mail App again at the Start Bar and choose pin to Task bar for instant access.

Following your advice , I can’t see Mail app at the start bar so stumped already . What to do ? 🤔
