I enjoyed both, and the most memorable part of both was Part 1, pre-war country estate up to when Robbie gets arrested. That seemed to take up a bigger proportion of the book ... the trials of juvenile Bryony, the long hot summers day. But still it was brilliantly done in the film. So too was the Dunkirk beach scene, I don't remember much about that at all in the book.

The Searchers is good.I don't like his war films but Red River and Rio Bravo are also very very good.

John Ford,Henry Fonda and others didn't think much of your patriot" fighting a fake war in the studio."
