Going for a Walk

Hi

Out this morning to the local shop.

Google Maps shows it 360 metres away.

I had to stop for a rest, legs not working properly.

It was the same coming back

A long way to go yet.

Take it easy Swim. When did you come out of hospital? I wish you well.

Softly, softly, catchee monkey.

I remember only too well the pain over even short distances using a walking frame for support!
Stick with it.

Yes take things slowly Swimmy, we don’t want you back in hospital again.

Just a thought, have you got a walking cane? That would help support you with your walking and keep you safer.

Hi

60 to 90 days for the plug in my femoral artery to heal.

The bruising is going down, but still no driving yet.

I am still alive, which is the big bonus.

Just deciding to try to walk to the local shop is a big step, Swimmy.

You'll gain stamina and confidence more easily with that mindset.

I'm proud of you.

Indeed. Food tends to taste better that way.

Seriously though, one of the hardest pieces of advice active people have to take in a health situation - is to not be active for a while.

Go easy, plan for good days ahead, and enjoy the comforts of home. Mags has a good suggestion with a walking stick of some sort.

Healing is your best exercise right now.
