Dogs become more difficult to look after when we get older.

I would love a dog of my own, but it would not be fair to the dog.

I have the best of worlds, dog sitting when i am not in hospital.

|t works for me and the dogs, they get spoilt rotten.

I have a large garden for them to play catch in

Yes, dogs are like children, they need to be brought up well and not left to their own devices. I feel so terribly for the woman and her family, yet so very annoyed by those dog "owners" who clearly were not paying attention to their dogs.

Imho, all dogs should be on leads when in public places.

We need dog licences with details of their owners .

Why the hell people want vicious dogs as "pets" defeats me. Our bloody cat is bad enough but dogs of indeterminate breed? WHY?

Because its a power trip. Because they have "things" that need protecting. Because they get money for having a "companion" (if they are on benefits)
