A Two Way Travel Bubble

Despite fears of outbreaks in Queensland and New South Wales last week, Australia has ended the Easter long weekend with two straight days of no community transmitted COVID-19 cases.

There are signs of a two way travel bubble with NZ - at the moment Kiwis can come to Australia without quarantining but on their return have to undergo two weeks compulsory quarantine. This may end very soon.

Meanwhile Scotty from Marketing and his federal squad of no hopers are trying to raise the pace of Covid vaccinations.

Great to see Bruce! ( Well, I would like to see Bruce- you know what I mean -Keezoy as well) . It was a natural expansion of bubbles and the Covid was well handled by both countries. It will be great to see Aussies again and vice versa.

Don't worry you lot won't be allowed anywhere near it, you are far too dangerous to associate with.

There are lots of caveats - the main one being that it could be cancelled in an instant if covid breaks out either side of the Tasman.

Use Fairy Liquid.

It's good news and seems quite sensible given current levels of infection.

Re: A Two Way Travel Bubble

On the second day of the quarantine free travel between NZ and God's Country there was a hiccup.

A worker at Auckland airport has returned a positive test result for COVID-19, but New Zealand Prime Minister the lovely Jacinda Ardern has said she does not expect it to shut down quarantine-free travel across the Tasman.

The case was detected in a worker who had been cleaning the interiors of aircraft used to transport people from high-risk countries into New Zealand, some of whom have COVID.
