Thank you both. This another genre I love.
The most difficult to shoot was the midge, followed by the spider - both because the blighters wouldn't keep still.

Ugh now THAT gives me the shivers! I have some macro ink/water, and oil shots in my profile....it was just experimentations really, playing about.

Oh thank you PB! Its oil and water in a glass or a jar, with a coloured fabric underneath the glass. Natural light, no flash.
