Re: Tooth extraction

I still have a piece of bone that was taken out of my knee about twenty five years ago (about the size of a Brazil nut).

They just gave it to me (in a small plastic jar) and I took it home and stuffed it in a jar and it's been there ever since. When I go, I might have it put next to me.

Re: Tooth extraction

I thank the heavens every day that our outer layer is opaque and that we invented clothes so as not to have to see what lies beneath.

Are you seeing a periodontist, Pauline? This day and age they can do a lot with grafts and surgeries to prevent tooth lost. Sorry you are having to go through this.

Hi Surfermum, the disease is under control, this is the first loose tooth I’ve had extracted, ive had this from the age of around 35, my dentist believes that as long as I get my check ups every 3 months, go to the hygienist every 3 months now, plus proper brushing, they should last.

Re: Tooth extraction

I got shown my wisdom teeth after they were surgically extracted, all 4 of them, they were growing into my jaw not out of it, the roots were all twisted into each other, no wonder they weren't growing properly. I had no wish to keep them though. The surgeon said they would probably go to a medical museum as they were different. I never found out what happened to them, I was too sore & swollen at the time & for a few weeks too.

The tooth, the hole tooth, and nothing but the tooth?
