Mags, I appreciate the compliment. I think I spent about eight hours on this one split over two days for drying.

Beautiful painting Surfermom, but not sure I would like it to hang over my bed! A number of years ago I met two relatively tame pelicans at a coastal fish restaurant in Cyprus ( I assume they fed the pelicans some of their fish) and they were much bigger than I expected.

If the picture was over my bed I am sure I would dream about them scooping me up in their gular....although maybe I would be too big for them!

I used to live in Belize and there were hundreds of pelicans .
I lived by the sea and sometimes we would see Manatees as well .It was a magical place.

You were so lucky to see the Manatees, Muddy. Lovely big animals they are!
