Re: Risktaking

When young I was a risk taker and very adventurous but it often landed me in difficult situations but I could handle it then I guess I was young and strong but now I just want peace and safety and groundhog days . At times I have fantasies of changing my life but then reality kicks in and says no ole girl stay put

Re: Risktaking

Huge risk taker and always have been but I’m not really sure why.
Good question and something to consider.

Re: Risktaking

Hi

I do not gamble, except fot the Lottery.

I just look on that as a donation to charity.

I am not however risk adverse.

Put more life into your days, not days into your life.

Life should be fun.

Re: Risktaking

People tell me I am but I don't think I am. Risk takers are people who don’t think things through and weigh up the odds before embarking on an adventure or project I would never do that.

Re: Risktaking

I’d say I was . I rode motorcycles for most of my life and kept some strangely dangerous animals over the years ... and of course married lol ( twice)

Re: Risktaking

the big risk I/we took was taking on a business we know very little about, ie boarding kennels and cattery. Nearly went under in the first few years until we started to get the business estabished as the owners.

There may well be times when taking a risk pays off but you have to put 110% into it. Any less and it will fail

Re: Risktaking

I did my CBT test to ride a motorbike when I was 65 I told no one . When I passed I bought a 125 motorbike and surprised my kids by turning up at their house in my leathers

I no longer ride my own bike but I've kept my helmet just in case I ever meet a biker !
