To each their own. Personally I think it looks pathetic. But then I've never been a warm cuddly sort of person. Same with my wife and both our families.

We have a son not yet into his teen years (though quickly approaching that stage).

So we have no chance to hold hands because he always wants to be in the middle.

Whilst walking in the street, I always hold hands with the man l am with. It just comes naturally to do that.

It is a little more difficult these days what with the dog on the lead, as he tends to zig zag quite a bit but we do still hold hands as much as possible.

Seriously though, we don’t hold hands when we’re out, we go arm in arm.
