Pensions?

Do you all have traditional pensions or did some of you invest in things like a second home for a pension?

Re: Pensions?

Social Security check here in the States, Azz, plus income from dividends and interest. Far, far from rich, but comfortable. And the mortgage being paid off is
good, as well as not having the hassle and expense of a car!

Re: Pensions?

Very traditional here!
I look forward to actually picking it up - what a strange thing, it feels like money for nothing but of course it's not. It's payback time for all those months and years opening the payslip and saying "How much?! when looking at the Deductions section

Re: Pensions?

State pension plus occupational pension here, we're doing ok. The mortgage was paid off a few years ago so our outgoings aren't a worry.

Re: Pensions?

My income from pensions state and private is £420 a month at the moment easy to live on.

My investments in ISA and Perm bonds used to bring in £200 to £300 a month but with the cut in interest rates to help bail out the ??????? its down to about £50.

Re: Pensions?

I`m on Pension Credit - topped up with £1.66p per week for being a full-time carer. Be still my beating heart....
But I don`t smoke, drink or go out clubbing so we manage.

Re: Pensions?

I will have a small pension from Hampshire County Council (if they can manage not to lose the money) We have a flat and are planning to convert part of our house back to a single dwelling for possible holiday let, that way if you don't like the neighbours they wont be there for long!
