It’s certainly harder on the prison guards

But let’s get practical who will look after them when they get old ?

Everyone agrees war is a bad thing, but self defence is not immoral. Just as when you are apprehending a murderer you may have to fight them and they may end up dead.

We sent soldiers to Afghanistan to kill people .
I don’t recall it’s was in self defence .

Of course it’s ok for prison guards to have to be in the presence and danger of heinous murders for decades ?

Their lives are worth less ?

Back to the aging murderers who is going to look after them ?

I don't think all wars are justified. WWII was but many others, hmm, not so sure.

Muddy I do wish you wouldn't edit your posts all the time after they have been answered.

Nor is putting the lives of precision guards at risk .

It’s an evasion of responsibility.

No we don’t want to kill them we want them locked up forever and let someone else take the risk and the dirty work .

And the post had not been answered when I amended it .

I do wish Annie you would answer the question who is going to look after all these aging but dangerous old lags ?

It was edited after I answered.

Anyway these are all your opinions and not really discussion points. Prison guards get paid for what they do. A job is a job and they work as part of a team. They understand the risks when they take the job. Just as the police, firefighters etc. understand the risks. Nobody forces them to do it. but without prisons a lot of people would be out of work.

Re: Does being a good human being matter to you?

There is a time lapse between posts sometimes they overlap .

They are not just my opinions they are FACTS .

Prison guards don’t have the nicest of jobs and I must say it’s a poor excuse for keeping heinous murderers alive -just to keep prison guards in a job !

Economy forces them to do it not everyone has a nice comfortable job someone has to do societies dirty work .

Moreover there are plenty of other criminals who haven’t murdered innocents to keep them busy .

I don’t believe any single prison officer signed up to become a carer to geriatric homicdal murderers .

We can’t even get enough carers for people for innocent people in nursing homes!

All these ‘good ‘ people actually only want to feel good and moralistic .

They don’t want to actually look after these vile specimens .
We all want nice bathrooms but we don’t want to clean the sewers .

We pay other people to do that it’s doesnt make people with shiny bathrooms morally superior !

Take him off the medication he is on ( he’s is going to die anyway )

In this case it does not make those who protest better human beings at all .
Whom the Gods would destroy they first make mad .
Keeping heinous criminals alive is madness .
It is a madness that will eventually destroy society .
My feelings exactly. It’s exceptionally important to me to have genuine integrity but it has to be balanced with logic too.
