Remember The Days Of Stockings And Seamed Stockings?
Whatever happened to them? Were tights the death of them?I remember, they were usually skin coloured or American Tan!
If they were seamed, you had to make sure the seams were straight.
You used to get very annoyed if you got a ladder in them.
Does anyone have any stories of when they used to wear them. Would you wear them now?

I can remember my Nan telling me that when she and her sister were young and going out for an evening, they would use 'gravy browning' to tan their legs, then draw the seam on with an eyebrow pencil. Neither of them could afford the real thing.

I had forgotten they were called nylons but l never called them that. I always said, stockings.
