Any recommendations on what to watch on my new TV?

Apart from Netflix.

There's a lot of rubbish on there, but I like sport, history and documentaries, mystery/crime dramas too.

I watch BBC4 a lot. Plenty of interesting historical documentaries on there. It's normally dedicated to music on a Friday too

Yes, BBC4 looks quite good. As much as anything from the BBC can be considered good. I resent having to pay a TV tax.
