Accounts Program

For those of you wanting an accounts program, take a look at the free version of NCH software's Express Accounts program.

I've downloaded and installed it and am in the process of transferring some of my data from a no longer supported Quickbooks program and thus far it's a joy to use. It's biased to small businesses but I can't see why it can't be adapted for household accounts.

Re: Accounts Program

I don't need it any more but that would have been so useful when I was working for myself. I had to print letterheads then over print invoices and statements etc, changing the invoice number and job description as I went along. I always thought that a system where you could print an invoice automatically from your job book would be really useful.

Re: Accounts Program

GnuCash is supposed to be very good, open source and it is free too. Personally I am still using M$ Money 2002 I bought from ebay for a few dollars.

I had an epiphany this week - for years I have been using Textpad as my text editor; is is paid one, I think I was up to version 7.

Anyway this week I deleted it and started using the open source Notepad++ I like it much better especially for batch scripts and HTML.

Re: Accounts Program

I'm using MS Money:

2005 UK - QFE2

Self-contained UK Money 2005 file including all available patches. Replaces all MS Money UK 2005 installation discs.

http://moneymvps.org/downloads/files...05-UK-QFE2.exe

There may be better packages available but I've been using MS Money for years and, while it can still interface with my banks, I see no reason to change .....
