That biryani looks really nice but the trouble with most Indian dishes is the amount of ingredients needed. I reckon that one dish would cost about 50 quid.

Today I made vegan Cornish pasties and spicy Caribbean patties.
The basic mix is the same with hot pepper sauce added to the patties and turmeric in the pastry to make it more yellow.

there is a biblical theory that all humans of course started off as vegatarians?? and then 'progressed' onto meat? - I'm still researching that one?

Veganism is said to be the fastest growing diet.
As the majority of converts are under 40 it bodes well for future generations.

That sounds lovely Yolande. It must be difficult for you to make Caribbean food without fish or meat. Do you make Johnny cakes? My mate's dad used to make them for us when we were kids.
