Re: Best Gillette advert

Beautiful ad and thank you

The comments below the youtube video are well worth a read.

Sad to say that other countries do look after their parents more than we do here in the UK

Awww, yes, it brought me to tears too. What a wonderful relationship they have and what a caring son. So rare these days methinks.

Thanks for posting that Muddy.

(As a quick aside, the son reminded of Gordon Ramsey, in looks).

Re: Best Gillette advert

One does not need a 'special razor' to shave another person. After George (my father) had a 'stroke' and lost the use of his left arm (he was left handed) I shaved him for some weeks whilst he recuperated in hospital.

Re: Best Gillette advert

Cynical me while agreeing it's very moving, and very clever, would remind you all it's an advertisement for a razor.

Reminded me of Reggie Perrin when he had to come up with new variations on the razor to keep sales up.
Gillette is worth billions of dollars, they should be able to get an advert together.

Yes, I know where you're coming from Bruv, (I think we all do), but I'd really like to believe that the folk are true son and father and that's just how they are.
We have to believe in something good in this world

That's true Pesta and anything that makes people think a little more kindly in this too fast world is good.
At the end of life people need care and compassion and I supose people reap what they sow .
If you have been a good and caring parent in the end your children will look after you well one hopes so .
