I'd love a wet room. Late OH just put in a walk in shower, he didn't listen to me, did his own thing. We haven't got a bath, we have two loos instead.

My sisters and I were always strip washed in the kitchen sink every night before bed - except on Sundays, of course, when we would have a 'real' bath (a tin bath in front of the fire in the living room). We loved bath night as the bath was followed by a mug of hot Horlicks while we were cosily wrapped up in a big soft towel. We all sat in front of the fire listening to the radio together.

The kitchen was the warmest place in the house Mags. We only had one coal fire with a hot water tank behind it in the living room, until the fire was lit, no hot water.....Immersion heater was far too expensive to run. Kids don't know they're born these days....
