Song of the South

Considered racist in this day and age

Disney who made it banned it in America in the 70s.

A few VHS were realised in Europe in the 80s so can still get on Pirate Bay.

No way was this delightful film racist except the leading man was black telling stories to a white child and was made in 1946 on a plantation

if you can get a copy its lovely to watch.

zip e doda was a song from it

Some comments on link.

Re: Song of the South

I did have the film on video, watched it several times, but never bought the DVD. Wish I had now, it was a lovely film, gentle & happy.

I haven't seen the film for well over 50 years, but I don't recall anything the least racist about it.

Think it was do to freed slaves sitting around singing.

Very short clip but.
