I found it a bit slow, to be honest. I also didn't think that CE was right for the part and sometimes found MS's accent hard to make out.

Both the book and the film were well done. However, I read the book first, and wouldn't have chosen CE for the part. Not by a long shot.

Never read the book, film was produced and directed by Clint Eastwood and received favourable comments.
