Just announced that those considered most at risk people will be receiving letters from the NHS this week. They will be asked to adopt a 12 weeks isolation period .

I'm very happy about this, a really good move. It's been my worst nightmare getting food and prescriptions - hopefully I will be on the list It will certainly take a huge weight off my mind.

My son has a weakened immune system but not sure if he’ll get a letter, not sure what to do if he does, do we have to isolate?

There’s a number to ring IF he gets a letter and you don’t understand anything which we’ve been told ought to arrive by Tuesday .
If you live with him you won’t have to isolate but he will .

Hmmmm ... I wonder if I'm on their "most vulnerable" list, and what it means.

Who is considered extremely vulnerable?

According to the government information, people falling into the extremely vulnerable group include:

People with specific cancers:

people having immunotherapy or other continuing antibody treatments for cancer
people having other targeted cancer treatments which can affect the immune system, such as protein kinase inhibitors or PARP inhibitors
people who have had bone marrow or stem cell transplants in the last 6 months, or who are still taking immunosuppression drugs
People with severe respiratory conditions including all cystic fibrosis, severe asthma and severe COPD.
People with rare diseases and inborn errors of metabolism that significantly increase the risk of infections (such as SCID, homozygous sickle cell).
People on immunosuppression therapies sufficient to significantly increase risk of infection.
Women who are pregnant with significant heart disease, congenital or acquired
