Re: Breaking news! (London Bridge attack)

With all those potentially dangerous characters you would have thought they would have had at least a body scanner at the door. Not to mention serious security .

Unsavoury hero's usually have a disrespect for life, including their own, an amazing concept.

Yes you would have hoped they had some security. I'd never heard of it before but looking at it today, it's a really beautiful building with many valuable, historic artefacts.

Put all these terrorists on one of the outer Shetland island for life .
Drop a load of supplies by helicopter once a month.
Including a few cooking knives
Let them live or die with each other .
Yes Muddy. I agree. They can all entertain each other.

Surely there should be Armed Police who are seen to be Armed patrolling London Bridge, also an Office near the entrance, before it happens a third time?

The area is full of police according to the Police spokesman on LBC the other day. The police arrived almost immediately. The issue was that the guy was wearing a fake suicide vest and shooting someone who may be a bomb threat can be very dangerous as you can trigger the device. This is why they didn't taser him. I'm sure there must be plain clothes and unmarked police cars patrolling.

They were saying that London is very much protected against such threats, it's areas outside that are at risk.

Clearly not else two people would not have been murdered .
The police have roaming terrorist units in London hence their prompt response .
Too late for the people who were stabbed and murdered

Re: Breaking news! (London Bridge attack)

One would imagine it is virtually impossible to prevent a lone terrorist attack in a busy city or anywhere else in the UK. The only way would be to have body scanners in every single building, shop and bridge.

What I find absolutely indefensible is the fact that this vile individual was orginally sentenced to 16 years for plotting to kill Boris Johnson as well as attack landmarks such as the Stock Exchange and the London Eye, yet cretins like Lord Leveson thought it okay to halve his sentence after hearing that this terrorist begged to be sent on a deradicalisation course. He obviously pulled the wool over the woolly-headed brains of those who should have known better than to release such a dangerous individual.

No more ''lessons will be learned'' excuses. Someone must be held responsible for these innocent's deaths and injuries. Heads should Roll!!
