Re: Where will people live in the future?

We certainly don't want anymore houses built, take heed the saying, "Build them and they will come".

Well it's that or many more homeless on the streets take your choice of losing a little land or stepping over bodies in doorways.

It might be acceptable to ask homeowners if they would consider renting out rooms rather than bully them into moving out. Manchester seems to have a real problem.

Tesco have sold off 14 sites it had for future stores, they say that up to 10,000 homes could be built on them all in the South.

Good but only if they are affordable for people who need them not the huge executive homes favoured by builders around here.

Horrible things far too big for their plot .
There are no gardens in new houses barely a space to put the wheelie bins .
Because to make a profit builders shows em in every last nook and cranny .

Hi

Tesco have sold part of their Land Bank, but to a Property Developer, who will be seeking to maximise their profits.

There may be 10,000 houses, but even people on average wage, never mind the lower paid, will not be able to afford.

As I suspected nothing for the people who need housing.

NO this is wrong, the problem is NOT a shortage of houses, it is a huge over population, we need LESS people not MORE houses.

But reducing, or even controlling, the population is something no one wants to think about. It's one of those 'too difficult' problems.

Re: Where will people live in the future?

As you so rightly point out there are too many people and these people chasing too few houses .
All those who advocate opening our borders to unlimited numbers of economic migrants would do well to think where are they going to live?
