Sssh!! Whats that noise?
It must be a nightmare to be woken up in the early hours by a noise downstairs, do you just lie there and ignor it or investigate knowing that downstairs there could be 1, 2, or more intruders rummaging through your belongings. Remember if you lie there ignoring it there is nothing to stop whoever it is from coming up the stairs. So i would grab my trusty golf club at the side of the bed and take my chance would you?

Have you been watching scary vids again Doc?If I heard a noise downstairs id make as much noise as I possibly could in the hope of scaring whoever it was away ,if that didnt work and I knew they were still there making a stand then I have to confront whoever it is with my dog and two sons,all fully armed to the teeth hahaaha....with heavy objects either to throw or strike ..well thats the plan anyway!
More likely I will be quivering under my duvet....thanks for your topic subject I shall sleep well tonight lol

I couldn't just lay there. Anyway I can't ignore a noise, Chloe has a bed in my bedroom and growls at any sound or goes to stand on the stairs and barks.
One night I heard a crashing noise in the back garden
I thought it was an intruder getting over the fence and I went out with my torch to find the cattle had broken out of the field into my neighbours garden. I woke them up and we shooed the cattle out .

I live in a bungalow, so not sure if that would make it better or worse! Either way, I have a baseball bat under the bed and a security system set up so if anybody managed to get past that, I would go and investigate.Ideally I would want to have a gun like my brother who lives in Texas has, but I doubt that would be legal here.
