What were your favourite books as a child?

I work with kids and they don`t seem to read much, so I wondered what books you liked when you were growing up, so I can maybe introduce one or two.
Thanks!

I used to like Enid Blyton books as a child and I introduced my 8 year old granddaughter to them last year as she also loves reading.

Like Mags I also loved Enid Blyton books-can also remember reading Black Beauty. My favourite book of all was Little Women-can remember keep reading it over and over again

Another Enid B fan here. Loved the '... of Adventure' books. Also would agree with a lot of the ones DM posted.

me too! My father always encouraged us to read, and not just fiction. He brought home books on mythology, ancient religions, nature and loads more.

I always have a few books on the go and try to have at last one non-fiction. Trying to keep the old brain in gear and active
