Re: Strictly Come Dancing

I do love this! But it`s such a pity they`ve replaced Arlene with someone who knows little about dance.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing

It's a shame about Arlene isn't it, I'm sure it's going to reflect in this new series.

Craig Revel Horwood isn't very happy about the change either, have you read this?

Can't wait for its return-love the show just won't be the same without Arlene though. Have you noticed how many times they are playing the signature tune on BBC in between programmes?-just beginning to get on my nerves a bit.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing

I enjoyed the few programmes I have watched but tend not to watch it now - it's a bit 'samey' isn't it. But you'll probably say the same about the sports match I am likely to be watching instead. Each to his own, eh?

I do like to see the dresses and the guys in their finery too, Notwithstanding that it's good to be relaxed about dress, I wish there were a few more occasions, other than weddings and funerals, where we actually make an effort now.

I think it is a great shame they have replaced Arlene Phillips , does experience and knowledge count for nothing these days ?

I know Arlene can be 'a bit sharp', but when someone is chosen as a judge I prefer to have a person who can comment in a knowledgeable way than to have someone waffling 'in a nice way' on a subject about which they know very little.

It will be nice to see Vincent Simone again I find in addition to his skill as a dancer he has very attractive ears

I haven't heard of half those people , I like Lynda Bellingham the actress though and hope she gives a good performance as a representative for the more mature womann

Re: Strictly Come Dancing

I think they are brave to try, I would probably trip over my feet! Its lovely to see how they improve after the weeks training, it must be exhausting.

I love the costumes, they must take an incredible amount of work.

I agree re - Arlene Phillips, she gives an honest opinion from her vast experience in the industry, everything is just dumbed down these days.
