Jeremy 'toed the party line' over Brexit, but just remember Jeremy was himself a supporter for Brexit comparatively recently, as many rank-and-file members do too and nonetheless will continue to support Jeremy.

Re: Labour-the fallout from the referendum.

I would guess a lot of the Labour vote will remember that Corbyn was once a Euro sceptic then made a half-hearted attempt to support remain and was really no use to anyone.

Where were his big TV appearances during the referendum campaign his call to the masses. I understand he appeared on Sky TV this 'champion of the poor' oblivious of the fact it seems that those on low incomes like me can't afford Sky TV.

Corbyn is just another London centric politician, dont feel him or any of the rest of his party represent me or my area despite it being a labour stronghold.

They lost there way under Blair and Co, and unless they re assess their roots will remain in the wilderness.

I can't help thinking if Corbyn had fought strongly for remain he'd have been damned for supporting Cameron. He couldn't win really.
It was Cameron's call he needed to be in the forefront fighting. I don't blame Corbyn, it wasn't his fight, at least he didn't take the opposite side.
He could have used it to his advantage.

I would rather have one that stands up for the people against all comers. Was a straight talking person who did not dodge and weave when asked a question and stood by his own convictions.

I like the look of Dan Jarvis for Labour Leader who was mentioned when Corbyn was elected but seem not to be open to accepting the position.

I former member of the Paras he has seen a bit of life not spent his life sitting on his behind meditating with focus groups like some politicians.

The trouble is, his Road to Damascus moment, was a little to late and a little unconvincing. If it had been a Conservative who had behaved like this you would be crying Uturn, unprincipled, cowardly but of course Jeremy couldn't possibly be just another lying scheming, politician who changes his views the minute it suits him.

You're right about his support amongst the activists though and this in itself could damage the party. The more moderate members may decide to break away and form their own version of Labour mk2.

Re: Labour-the fallout from the referendum.

Personally I feel that the leave vote was a product of British people having no confidence in our weak politicians and current events in the Labour party are confirming this... because they are behaving like spoiled children who didn't get what they wanted. Most politicians wanted to remain but the majority of the British public said NO, and the public are the boss in a democratic country. What Britain needs, at this time, is some stability but if half the politicians resign I would think they are the ones who don't understand what democracy means. Perhaps we should let them all go and then we can all vote for a government that is prepared to listen to the Public, rather than trying to persuade them to vote their way. If we don't find politicians that are strong, yet still listening to what they are doing wrong, then Britain will become a pathetic " Has been" country.
I just hope that all British residents will help to make this independence work.... because if we don't we will ALL be losers!
