Re: The Prorogation Court Case

Did we expect anything else?

Confirmation that our country is run by wealthy lawyers and an unelected judiciary

This country used to be a shining light of democracy, but since The EU Referendum the Establishment had reduced that to a faint glimmer
Now they have snuffed it out

Any slight trust or respect for our lords & masters has gone, and Britain will never be the same again

Hmm, seems to me 11 people weighed it up and decided that they didn't want to be left out of the Islington set dinner parties.

Sorry, but IMO this country has never been a shining light of democracy. Also IMO that is a very romantic notion. If we were a shining light of democracy then there would be no need for the "lords and masters". Everyone would obey the rule of the majority. Not that I believe the majority vote of leave to be right vote in the case of Brexit. Years ago heads would have rolled - and that would not be very democratic would it

Alright, perhaps I was a bit overdramatic
Let me rephrase things -

Any semblance of democracy that we had, has now gone

Is it just me or are we actually in dangerous territory now ? If the establishment manage to actually keep us in EU and with not even the semblance or pretence we have a democracy the only way is to take to the streets for many people.

Re: The Prorogation Court Case

At the moment we cannot leave with a deal (we continue the same parliamentary session and cannot bring back the withdrawal agreement unless its significantly changed) and we cannot leave without a deal because of the benn bill.

Option 1 : overtime the benn bill in the court
Option 2 : EU do not grant an extension

Or we never leave

I'll go with option 2 but clearly the EU masters won't willingly just let us leave so they very much WILL grant any extension needed.

However. it requires the consent of all other member states to grant such an extension and each member state gets a veto.

Step up Hungary

A disgruntled member state.

They could help Boris by vetoing any further extension thus ensuring the UK drops out with No Deal on 31st Oct.

That would be the right of the people - however, Marshall Law could be brought in to play.
