Some seeds have to be digested by the birds before they will grow - perhaps Mistletoe is one of them ? Not a gardener so not 100% sure.

I don't put it up at home but I love to see it at parties and in pubs and places like that.
A peck is lovely.. and occasionally.. the unexpected snog!

I agree though it's one of our prettiest winter berry plants

So do I. Though they do damage the host plant/tree & can kill them, so it's probably good to remove it. We see a lot on trees along the M5 motorway.

I believe very poisonous though, so don't let your pets eat it.
