Whcih would you prefer...

When it comes to the thread marking system here on Over50sforum.

Currently it is set so that threads/posts remain as unread until you actually read them, or mark them as read.

But there is another option, where it can be set so that only posts since your last activity, are shown as unread.

Dogsey had the second way, and I changed it to the way we have it here and over 60% of people prefer the old way!

So just wondered what you'd prefer here - like it is, or the old Dogsey way where it just shows you unread posts since your last visit.

Re: Whcih would you prefer...

I prefer seeing unread since my last visit as I would have reviewed everything that interested me during my last activity. However, as I am not here much I will bow to the majority with good grace!

Doesn't matter, either way is fine with me.

Maybe a poll would get more results??

It's fine now
(Azz - we're, well, we're older than you even if most of us don't class ourselves as old - we don't like change, particularly in these new fangled things which don't generally fall within our areas of expertise/experience)

I'm happy with it the way it is too, but I am sure we could all cope if it were changed.
