Re: Our game plan

The only plan I had was to follow a good career and not have any children.

I have been happy with both decisions and have really enjoyed my life, but you can never know if it was the best decision, because you haven't lived life any other way

If you make mistakes in life, always remember that everybody does, but it isn't the mistakes that matter, it is how you handle them!

Re: Our game plan

I suspect I wouldn't have come up with a game plan for my life, if I hadn't met the man I married, it was no doubt his suggestion to do so. He likes everything to be very ordered and doesn't leave anything to chance if it can be helped.

Re: Our game plan

I never had a "game plan" just went with the flow of the highs and lows...my ex BIL planned most of his life out and also his kids lives too..(now one of his kids has settled on a partner he doesnt approve of ..I couldnt live with having my life and career mapped out it would smother me..
Spontaneous and varied is how I amble through life

Re: Our game plan

Did have a plan when I was younger, get married, have a good career, have children, be happy.
Had the children, good career, but the marriages - disaster.
And life's ups and downs got in the way, but still happy with my lot

Re: Our game plan

Never had a plan. We got married, worked, had kids, 2, had fun, till late OH got ill, carried on, then he was gone. We were married, mostly happily for nearly 50 years. Our lives just happened, we didn't plan for anything, not even the kids.

I am so pleased my five children weren't planned, well the third one was!

And I enjoyed reading your thread start Tara.

Regarding game plans.
I did have them when I was much younger, but unforceable events soon put paid to most of them!

Re: Our game plan

No game plan here either, which is just as well given all that life has chucked at me. Just go with the flow is my motto and carpe diem, as they say.

We've had quite a few curveballs come our way, just have to deal with what life throws at you.
