Re: Almond Shaped Eyes!

Thanks for bringing that up.
I stupidly didn't think about dogs eyes.
We even had a Malamute who had the almond-shaped eyes.
Must be this old age thing!

Is that one of yours in the picture? He/she is a beauty!

Yes, that was our Anya. Unfortunately she died 18 months ago and is still very much missed.

It has nothing to do with squinting at the sun. The skin on their upper eyelids is longer - I'm sure that's not the right word. Anyway, the skin of the upper eyelid is folded exactly like the foreskin on a man's penis, forcing the eyelid down, thus giving the eyes a squinting appearance. If you think of the head of a penis as the eyes of a human and seeing it on an uncircumcized man as compared to a circumcized man then you will easily understand.

Re: Almond Shaped Eyes!

Sir

If you are correct, why does the Epicanthic fold apply to Asians, mostly and a few other Countries
I have read that it is Genetic, and was a way to keep out the glare of the Snow and Sun
Also, I very seldom have occasion to think about a man’s penis as an eye of a human head, looking at me or otherwise, or to closely inspect the male foreskin circumcised or not….. Not a Medical person
I do draw and paint the male nude body in Art Class, including his male member, in repose. But if I got up close and personal it would be most uncomfortable for the Model .
Actually, when I next see a real live penis it will probably when ‘Nelson Gets his Eye Back' or perhaps a Porn site? ……. No! Much too boring.

Better still. search my Memory for… Past Times! Oh My!

Madame

Being genetic is as irrelevant as as it is obvious. Saying that it is the evolutionary result of squinting against the sun and glare of the ice is like saying men from Holland are tall because for centuries they stood on their toes and stretched themselves in order to see what the Brits were up to. You can squint, right? You can even close your eyes altogether. Try it. Close your eyes, Now run your your finger over your closed eyelid. Does it feel as those the skin is so taught that it might be stretched enough to create a fold when you open your eyes again? Oriental people can also close their eyes and you'll find there are still folds. Wasted tissue, from the perspective of closing or squinting. The squint theory would only make sense if orientals had particularly large eye balls and then suddenly (I mean so sudden that evolution had no chance to catch up) their eyeballs shrunk in size leaving excess skin to cover them. Not everything has a purpose, even though some would have us believe otherwise.

Ha-ha! Using the foreskin of a penis seemed the most common knowledge example I could think of. I still can think of nothing better to compare. Skin – Human – Fold ….. uhhhhh …… no, that's the best I can do.

Re: Almond Shaped Eyes!

" and the people of the earth said 'lets build a temple in the sky so we can reach God'" and the Lord smote them and caused them to speak different languages so they were confused and couldn't understand each other and confusion reigned on earth............sounds like a good case of that here!
