Re: Labour leadership

The truth is, they say they have learned the lessons but everything the present crop of Labour leadership candidates do says otherwise. To think that they have the gall to ask the electorate to give them the opportunity to run the country beggars belief.

Jess Phillips gave us a clue yesterday on Sky yesterday when she said in an interview, (which she has since retracted) the if she were made Leader she would campaign to rejoin the EU.
Then she said that Labour should have had fewer policies but sold them to the public harder, or words to to that effect. What she should have said was, we will ask the public what they want and ensure we deliver it.
They still haven't got it.

Re: Labour leadership

Having said that, it appears that arch-Corbynista Rebecca Long-Bailey has thrown her hat into the ring in the leadership contest

It's little wonder she's nicknamed, "Rebecca Wrong Daily". after endorsing the failed policies of Comrade Corbyn. As for Starmer, he reminds me of a Funeral Director, full of false sympathy, and distrustful. What a bunch of losers to choose from!

Re: Labour leadership

Labour MP Clive Lewis was interviewed by Victoria Derbyshire this morning
He called Brexit 'a hard right project'

And they wonder why they lost the 12/12 election!

Are you saying it wasn’t a right wing project? Really! What about the ERG et al? As for Labour, they lost because, with Corbyn and his far left cronies, they were unelectable.

BREXIT is not right wing or left wing, it is popularist.

What is rather fun is to examine the voting demographic. Areas with high immigrant population voted "Remain" whereas areas with as close to indigenous English population as can be determined were highly ANTI remain.

Quelle surprise. I voted BREXIT. WE got it right.

If Lewis had brains he MIGHT be dangerous. All I've seen coming from him is show boating and jumping on bandwagons and trying to appeal to people with a higher number of teeth than an IQ score.

Re: Labour leadership

Hi

It is the arrogance of them which stuns me.

They are in complete denial of why they lost.
