Spitfires Poems

I’ve set aside time
To create a rhyme
It seemed quite sublime
Maybe even devine
But in retrospect
A personality defect
Could.ve caused introspect
Which triggered disrespect
I regret I began
Oh what a silly man.

Blimey spitfire - it must be true what they say about the pen being mightier than the sword

At this rate, I'll have to start me own poem thread!

Re: Spitfires Poems

I am getting flummoxed by the screen
I think I want to scream
The answer is inside the box
But it doesn’t want to reveal the crux
I guess I will have guess again
Until the box reveals it’s refrain.

Re: Spitfires Poems

Oh dear, it started by wanting
Too endear
But now, the motive
Seems unclear
The joke seems to be ebbing
On austere
So it may be
Time to revere
Let’s hope the consensus is
Hear hear.

Re: Spitfires Poems

I felt the urge to purge my dirge
Trapped within this digital encoding
But realised with a sense of demise
A feeling of dark foreboding
The digital trace is now in space
Within the cloud indelible
Etched in time, user defined
Content of text regrettable
Please o please remove these “Bits”
Of me they don’t befit
But now the “Bits” are far away
Far beyond the administrators remit.

Re: Spitfires Poems

there was a man from brummie way
Spitfire was his game
he'd hover in the cyber clouds
just waiting for some fame

And then he'd dive down to the board
spitting words with no prior warning
sometimes a cryptic coded sword
that left us bruised and bawling

Re: Spitfires Poems

Us is a verb, us is a team
Us is a paragon of virtue
Us is a false, us is a sham
Us is are you with me, and am I with you
Us has a place, us has a meaning
Us will be tried and tested
I am me, you are us
let's hope you are contented.
