Re: Nigel's new Brexit Party

Is Farage still claiming expenses from his MEP stint?

I wonder.

Expenses have to be claimed. His monthly mep salary he receives till end of june. Out of consideration to this May requested an extension till june 30, of course.
The standard monthly payment for all MEPs is*7,957 euros*(£6,537). It is roughly on a par with a British MP's salary, but when the pound is weak, MEPs earn more than MPs. MEPs also get a flat-rate monthly allowance of*4,299 euros*to cover office expenses, such as office rent, phone bills and computer equipment.

So that’s why Farage claims he’s so poor

Perhaps he should do fruit or hop picking during his holidays to supplement his income and supporting our farmers although it’s likely given his track record he’d do more harm than good

You have to hand it to our Nigel, he takes the cartoon image of a little englander to new heights, he’s a dangerous joke and the English people deserve better than him and what he represents. As for his new party, I don’t care what he calls it, you can put a dog turd into a nice shiny new bag but inside it’s still a turd! Hopefully you’ve got a big more time now to come to your senses.

So you don't thing Theresa May isn't a pretty good example of making Britain look like a country full of dried up old women who shouldn't even be allowed to floor a meeting at the local knitting circle??

Names aside, I gather from your post that you do not agree with the majority decision to leave the EU.

Of course, everyone knows that, generally, the Scots (and the Londoners) wand us to remain under the EU jackboot. Nigel Farage is just someone to blame that the majority voted to leave.

Sooner or later you are going to have to accept that Scotland's 5 million people cannot hope to dictate to the UK's population of 60 million.

In the case of Brexit, if the majority of voters in Scotland would prefer to remain in the EU, the best course of action would be to press for independence.

Of course this is all academic because, as we all must realise now, a majority vote by the people is quite meaningless when the majority of our politicians want the opposite.

So, not only do the Scots feel ignored, we are all being ignored!
