Re: Good morning Thursday !

Morning all

Hope all goes well today Summer for your DIL

I got up earlier than usual today as one of the girls in our office has a birthday so I've done a small suprise party spread.

I've done sausages on sticks, mini scotch eggs, garlic bread, spring rolls, crisps and mini chocolate rolls.

She has no idea, i think she will be happy.

The skies are grey here and it's forecast rain again *sigh*

Hubby starts a 2 month rolling contract job today so at least we can pay our mortgage for the next two months yaaaaay.

Have a good day all.

Thank you tabby....being a nurse she understands the procedure... it's the laying on her back for hours after that she is dreading.

No-one warned me about that when I had mine done (years ago) - got out of bed to go to the loo and passed out on the floor!

That is such good news, LQ, let's hope it may lead to something more permanent for him!

Your party feast sounds great!

Going out with friends for the day - Little bit of shopping - lots of chat - and lunch at a Carvery. Should be fun!

Have a lovely day.
That's all very well for you to say. It was about 1°C here this morning and only got up to about 16° during the day - now it is evening and the temperature has plummeted to 9°. Tonight it is supposed to get down to 1° again. The only saving grace was that the sun shone all day.

Only a week ago the temperature was 12° at night and 23° during the day which is quite nice for winter but this cold snap is supposed to last for a few days.

Re: Good morning Thursday !

Good morning all forecast says a sunny warm day ahead but the sky is black as thunder at the moment.

Summer, I hope all goes well for your DIL with her lumber puncture.

Lion Queen, I’m pleased to hear about Mr LQ’s job, I hope it goes well for him.

Meg those sour cherry and almond cakes sound scrumptious!

Enjoy your day everyone

Re: Good morning Thursday !

Bruce
it takes four poles total length of 20ft to get to my roof gutter over the conservatory and also a section of gutter in the front of my house. If you only have a single story building yes maybe a hose would work providing the water doesn't get under the tiles

The only other alternative is to have scaffolding to reach the same areas. I also have the problem of 4 huge oak tree less than 100ft away at the bottom of the garden. The fence behind is 6 ft, so you can see how tall those trees are, they also have protection orders on them so they can't be reduced in size or cut down

So imagine what it is like in an Autumn wind

The Skyvac lets me do it all from the ground in safety
