Here is a forum dedicated to Halogen ovens. Loads of recipes & helpful tips

http://halogenovenrecipes.forumotion.com/

I find it a bit awkward really. messing about with the lid - it gets very hot & trying to get the food out of the bowl without burning myself

Re: Halogen ovens help please

We've just bought a halogen oven. We are getting on fine, so far.
We've toasted and roasted in it, made a casserole. Today I was going to do a sponge cake but made some coconut ice instead
It roasted a piece of pork today that was lovely and moist, and the veg came out well too.
I've joined that forum too Lynne, thanks for the link.

My OH bought me one. I used it twice then put it in the cupboard. Will have a look at the links, then maybe I might give it another go.

Do give it a go shaz. I've found the kitchen doesn't get so hot it is cleaner, and a bit quicker.
I'm intending to do the sponge tomorrow as well as bread - cheating a bit by using a bread mix - but hey, I'm trying
