I have had a giggle reading some of the "yummy" (tongue in cheek here) offerings you lot have had lol....My mum would cook the same things on the same day of the week,always fish on Fridays and always leftovers from Sunday roast on a Monday or Tuesday if it went that far....the rest of the week she would douse everything in a good portion of lard and cook it until next year
if it tasted like an old leather boot it was almost cooked but not quite hahahaha

maybe because the food was so awful we only ate small portions so stayed lean and fit .
