Todays bread bake

I made bread for visitors' lunch today. Before I could take a pic of the whole bake, the rest of the rolls and a cheese, onion and caraway seed flat bread had been eaten while still warm. I think they enjoyed them.

I love home-made bread but we never get it. We only eat about 4/5 slices each in a week so it's not worth baking it.

Re: Todays bread bake

We normally eat very little bread, although I do love home baked and could actually live on it. When I do have a good bake it is divided up and put in the freezer.
I find making it by hand is very therapeutic. If bored, I bake.

The bread looks lovely Alberta and home made is the very best. I'm carb counting now so hardly eat any, but do miss it, particularly seeded bread.

Alberta - Very nice results. Good shaping and good oven spring. Guessing these are yeasted breads (dry or fresh?). Do you ever use a poolish or other preferment overnight?

Suzuki Sue - Why are you giving up bread?
