I don't drink alcohol at all, I still have a great time! Having lived with alcoholics I realised how badly it affects those around them and I think I'm embarrassing enough with out it!

I suppose I drink a moderate amount of alcohol. About 10 units a week by way of five pints of mid-strength beer. I greatly enjoy the taste of it.

I also enjoy a drink of diluted pure lemon juice with a dash of maple syrup in it ..tea and coffee too. Alcohol, mixed with all other forms of liquid intake, enhances life for me. I don't think I'll ever give up drinking it.

I don't think it's weird not to drink alcohol. My wife doesn't drink at all - mainly because she is so sensitive to alcohol, that one small drink and she is smashed. Ironic really when she is on large amounts of morphine and codeine for pain relief. I like a drink, but actually drink very little. My kids buy me a bottle of good single malt scotch at Christmas most years and I am struggling to get through it by the time the next Christmas comes round. I also get through about 2 pints of beer each month. My real addiction is COFFEE!!!!!

My wife can't drink either, Mick. One sip and she's history. But isn't that great? Well, I think it is. The whole bottle is mine.
I'm not into the 40+% stuff, red wine is heavy enough for me.
